It’s Spike (I’m one of the class instructors) here recounting Saturday’s events! It was a busy and fun day at Classic! In the morning was Pauline’s Judikins Patera class where everyone got to play with new techniques that Pauline learned at the CHA 2009 convention. There was a lot of movin’ around, playing with heat guns, shrink plastic, bamboo skewers and a toaster oven. (sounds like my kind of fun!) All participants got to go home with a couple of handmade cards PLUS a pendant. Their cards and wearable art were just stunning!
Pauline always does a fabulous job in inspiring all of us with her designs! I have to get my hands on some of that mica gloss (Judikins Mica Gloss Metallic Effects Ink) to play with!
For those ladies that siged up for the afternoon class too, they had an hour break where Barb had lunch brought in! What a treat! While they were having lunch, Pauline and I cleaned up and set up for their next class so they could dive right in again!
It was my turn on deck and the afternoon card class featured Cornish Heritage Farms Stamps.
One of the highlights was working with the Elvis silhoutte stamp, it was really difficult for everyone NOT to break into a chorus of Jailhouse Rock!
Deana, Shawna and Lynne hard at work!
A Sabana original!
Everyone had a fabulous time as did we!
Keep your eyes peeled as Barb may do lunch again if you take both the morning and afternoon Saturday classes! Be sure to check our class schedule as the May class schedule is up!
Thanks for taking the time to drop in today! Don’t forget National Scrapbooking Day is this Saturday, May 2nd and it’s a sure thing that we’ll be doing something special to celebrate!
Have a fabulous day!
