What’s NEW?~ CHA Updates (Craft & Hobby Assoc. Show)

Barb has gone to the annual Craft and Hobby Association Show in LA, California and will be sending pictures and updates about the great stuff she sees, the neat products she’s ordering and the fun stuff she’s making. So she’ll be trying to juggle being techy and being a stamper/card  maker, scrapbooker, papecrafter! PHEW!!!

After both planes were delayed Barb didn’t arrive at the hotel until after midnight so her   6am wake up call was a rocky start to her creative day.  Barb loved the We R Memory Keepers album, which was the first class of the day. She had fun reacquainting herself with their great tools and using the “Be My Valentine” collection of papers and embellishments. (They are currently in stock at Classic).

The second class from Little Yellow Bicycle was an ATC Shadow Box Project. (See below)

Next Barb tried this fun concept like “speed dating”. There were a collection of Canadian designers, distributors and manufacturers that she took turns meeting.  It was very fun and informative and you won’t believe the project kits she will be returning with!

Her favorite was Stamping Bella.  Emily the creator is truly priceless and her new and past fall designs are wonderful.  (Barb says, “We need to have a sale on the remaining instock designs as there are so many new ones, I don’t think I can buy them all!”) Check out the cute girl in the teacup below, more images on Facebook.

She found some new stamp companies for all you stampers!

Her final class of the evening was the “Boot Camp” from Hero Arts Stamps.

Barb Said ~ “Ladies I do believe I graduated!!!!  In fact Lisa, one of the design gals from Hero took a pic of my card for their twitter or blog. Actually, I was chatting to my neighbor (no surprise) and not quite paying attention and decided to put the ink on my block a little different.  Well it turned out pretty darn good, you would think I knew what I was doing?!  I have to say when someone like myself, who rarely stamps, can make great looking cards, that Hero Arts Stamps must be fabulous products!  I was using Ranger Distress Inks, another great product!  Broken China, Scattered Straw and Antique Linen.” Here’s a picture of the instructor with Barb’s project.

So, that’s what’s happening on her first day at The Show! Hope you will keep checking our Blog and Facebook to see what’s new.

Have a Great Day,
from the Classic girls, Barb, Marnie, Shannon, Spike and Sherry!
